Memorial Services & Baby Showers

Last week we had the pleasure of creating the final tribute for two families’ loved ones and the welcoming of a new life.

Lois loved Pansy’s and quilting. We designed a floral and Pansy plant combination that complimented a quilt that Lois had made.  The other was designed around a very nice gentle mans wife and her love of gardening. We wanted to reflect the heart felt memory that her husband had for her.

The baby shower was for a customer whose wedding we did in 2012.  Who knows, before you know it we will be doing her prom flowers.  P.S. It’s A Girl!!!

If It’s Important and Special To You, It’s Important and Special To US!

We are so excited about our vintage ceremony doors and windows.  They will be finished in an antiqued white with a distressed finish.  The doors and windows will be available for rent to our clients soon.

We can also assist you with other rental decor through the many rental companies we partner with.  The vintage furniture pictured here is from Classic Vintage Rentals.

Fall In Love With Details!

We fell hard for this fall wedding and its delightful details.  The colors were toasty warm with vibrant orange lilies, dahlias, roses, and snap dragons.  The many shades of orange were accented by lush green succulents, hydrangeas, hypericum berries, and autumn foliage.  A variety of containers were used to house the stunning floral creations including: vases, urns, mason jars, clay pots, cones, wooden boxes, and lanterns.  Each container was embellished by hand with; burlap ribbon, lace, twine, and charms.  The little details added immensely to the overall look and feel of the wedding; the end result being cozy and classy with an air of romance.

These Boots Were Made For Walking…Down The Aisle!

We just loved this wedding!  Sarah and Austin are an amazing couple, the vintage flowers were spectacular, and the photos by Kimberly Kay Photography are to die for.  Anyone looking for a wedding photographer should take a minute and check out Kimberly Kay  www.kkayphoto.comhttp://www.kimberlykayphoto.com/blog, or www.facebook.com/KimberlyKayPhotographyOregon.  We also loved the venue, we do a lot of weddings at The Abernethy Center in Oregon City, and can’t say enough good things about the venue and their staff, for more info see www.abernethycenter.com or www.facebook.com/AbernethyCenter.  As horse lovers our favorite picture has to be of the bride in her boots, what do you think?

Bouquet Buffet!

Just a quick preview of this weekends’ weddings!  We’ll post in more detail soon, but for now here are some of the beautiful and varied bouquets…enjoy.

Rustic Chic

We are in LOVE with the rustic/country chic looks that are so popular right now.  This fantastic wedding made use of lanterns, mason jars, and lovely little logs, the look was beautiful without being fussy or frilly.  We used dahlias, daisies, stock , aster, orchids, and iris along with a variety of greens, to bring the bride’s vision to life.

Amanda’s Abernethy Wedding.

If you want the perfect setting for a garden wedding, stay local and check out the Abernethy Center in Oregon City.  They have two outdoor ceremony sites as well as a newly built chapel and elegant ballroom, check them out at http://www.abernethycenter.com/ or  http://www.facebook.com/AbernethyCenter.

Our lovely bride Amanda was married in the Abernethy’s Veiled Garden, which suited her garden style flowers perfectly.  Her colors were a vibrant purple, hydrangea blue, and sunny yellow.  Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

Highland Flare

We recently did a gorgeous wedding at the Abernethy Center, http://www.abernethycenter.com/.  It had an awesome highland flare including some very handsome kilt clad gentlemen.  Here are some pictures courtesy of the fabulous Persimmon Images, http://www.persimmonimages.com/.  The flowers were an assortment a sweet smells and great shapes.  We used: thistle, freesia, sweet pea, lisianthus, blue Bella Donna, snap dragons, bupleurum, and bells of Ireland to create the slightly wild feel that brings to mind the rugged beauty of Scotland.  We hope you enjoy!

The Ainsworth House & Gardens, A Stunning Local Venue!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we are now a preferred vendor for the Ainsworth House & Gardens.  With nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor reception space as well as lush outdoor ceremony sites, the Ainsworth House is the perfect place for any event, and can accommodate  up to 125 guests.  This decadent venue is tucked away on two immaculate acres in a quiet Oregon City neighborhood; far from the noise of busy streets yet just a quick commute from anywhere in the Portland area.  Our studio is located less than two miles from The Ainsworth house, and we are happy to do onsite consultations at the venue.

The house itself has a rich history, and was originally built in 1851 on an 18 acre site.  Over the years, the house has been added to, with a major addition being put on in 1851, and then the bay windows between 1910 and 1920.  The house maintained all 18 acres until 1990, when the then-owners began selling off extra land for development. The house currently has just over 2 acres and is protected by being on the National Historical Registry.

For more information on this fantastic venue, please see their website at www.AinsworthHouse.net or visit them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/AinsworthHouseAndGardens.
